My design strategy would look upon the five common types of hand gestures, a universal language, that are commonly used in HHC (Human & Human Interaction) and also HCI. Such as the pinch, push/ pull, wave, point and turning.
Taking a series of image of the different angle to create a sense of space in forming the formation of my forms. Additionally with the intention of having my site to be located in the atrium space, to have the intention of re purposing the use of the atrium space as Singapore has limited land.
Hence, I map out the contour lines of the space to have a sense of motion with the formation of the 4 main axis lines of the different user to create a form. Intending to create 3 main spaces, control space, Edu space and Taiment space.
Forms were too rigid and does not convey the sense of gestures and needs to be able to keep most of the light ventilating in to keep the purpose of the atrium space. Therefore, in study exploration of hand gestures, I had laser lights being fixed to my each fingers and capturing each of the different hand movement with the use of a low shutter speed camera.
