With reference to my site analysis, I believe that Funan Mall(a mall adjacent to Peninsula Plaza Shopping Mall) is a better location. As it is much secluded space, and is rarely visited by people unless there is a need to buy digital electronics gadgets. Additionally, with my idea of promoting HCI as a medium to re-attract people to the space.
The site should one of the local malls that consist of have high human traffic and a hectic surrounding, however not attracting a lot of customers into the site. Therefore, a potential site is the Funan Digital Life Mall, Located at 109 North Bridge Rd, Singapore 179097.
As I did my site analysis, I use the motherboard system of the CPU and connect it to my site. (As shown below) With all the hectic human activities that are occurring like the flow of the electric currents.
•Government building,
(in blue) which acts as the brain of the computer (CPU), as they are the ones
that determine and plan out the future path of the country.
•Open spaces, (in
green) that acts as the micro processor fan, as it is where relaxing activities
would take place. Such as a walk by the reservoir or playing soccer at the
field space.
•Historical and
religious buildings, (in orange) which runs like a memory RAM, to show the
historical value of the country and its origin.
•Malls and hotels, (in
pink) that acts as the power supply , as it is where the source of income of
the country come from, by bringing in tourist and locals to shop.
Beyond, to further analyze the potential user around my
site, I did more analyze path circulation patterns to show their circulation
path.
And the study of the different speed motion of the circulation paths of the different users using the main axis lines.
